Role brief
devopsroles summary, based on the employer's posting.
What you'll do
- Design AWS infrastructure and Terraform modules for the Savings & Investments platform
- Build self-service tools so developers can provision environments safely and independently
- Automate environment setup and deployments, while strengthening platform monitoring and observability
- Investigate infrastructure and networking incidents, then drive modernization, security and architecture improvements
What you bring
- At least five years working hands-on with cloud systems, including AWS in production
- Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code skills, with experience across networks, Windows or Linux, and CI/CD
- Confident scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell, plus knowledge of cloud security and IAM
Who this fits
This role suits a senior cloud engineer who wants to shape and operate AWS infrastructure directly, from architecture through production support. You’ll join a three-person Cloud Engineering team and take part in a four-person on-call rotation.
From the employer
Are you a seasoned cloud engineer who enjoys owning platforms end‑to‑end?
Ready to shape how a modern core‑banking engine runs in production instead of only deploying other people’s decisions?
At Ohpen, a cloud‑native fintech, this Senior Cloud Engineer role offers the chance to design, automate and operate business‑critical AWS infrastructure at scale.
Join a small, expert team where decisions are made quickly, ideas are taken seriously and good engineering is the default. In this role, you join a three‑person Cloud Engineering team that owns deployments and self‑service environments for the Savings & Investments part of Ohpen’s core‑banking platform. Most of the work is driven directly by the team: designing AWS architecture, standardizing Terraform modules and building the tooling that gives developers safe, self‑service access to infrastructure.
Your day‑to‑day focuses on making the platform reliable, secure and easy to operate - automating everything from environment provisioning to deployments, tightening monitoring and observability and resolving complex incidents across infrastructure and networking.
As part of a four‑person on‑call rotation, you help triage alerts and fix production issues — and then use what you’ve learned to lead modernization efforts from legacy setups to cloud‑native designs, improve platform security and influence architectural decisions that directly impact reliability, performance and cost.
Recruitment agencies are kindly requested not to approach with unsolicited candidate profiles. We will contact agencies directly if external recruitment support is required.
