  • Time for You (and Your Loved Ones): 30 days of annual leave based on our collective agreement (35-hour week); work-life balance through flexible working hours (flextime), mobile working, part-time options, job sharing, and sabbatical opportunities.

  • Growth Made Easy: Excellent professional development opportunities and international, group-wide career perspectives.

  • Feel Good at Work: On-site company doctor; comprehensive health programs (sports courses, preventive care, etc.), canteen and cafeteria, and local childcare facilities at selected locations.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Technical Advocacy & Pre-Sales: Represent DCS to internal project teams, assessing application architectures and demonstrating platform capabilities.

  • Hands-on Containerization & Deployment: Guide teams through application containerization, writing Dockerfiles/Podman specs, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and setting up ArgoCD GitOps pipelines.

  • Developer Enablement & Workshops: Conduct hands-on coding sessions, office hours, and workshops to upskill developers in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern CI/CD practices.

  • Requirements & User Advocacy: Gather developer feedback and friction points to define actionable technical requirements for the core DCS Platform team.

  • Documentation & Community: Build developer-friendly quick-start guides, GitOps templates, and sample repositories to foster internal cloud-native developer communities.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Software Development & Architecture: Practical programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js) and a strong understanding of modern application architectures.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Proven expertise with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms.

  • GitOps & Delivery Pipelines: Practical experience or strong knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD, and modern CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitLab CI).

  • Consulting & Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, teaching, and presentation capabilities to effectively mentor development teams.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent English AND German!
