Day-to-day responsibilities

You will help build the Engineering Platform, enabling developers to independently create, test, launch, manage, and monitor real-time authorization platform through self-service and continuous improvement. As part of a dedicated, domain-focused team, you will help design and deliver an internal platform that:

  • Empowers development teams with seamless, self-service access to tools and technologies
  • Minimizes non-development overhead and cross-team delays
  • Reduces cognitive load around security, governance, and compliance
  • Enables fast, independent software delivery
  • Measures success through clear, observable business outcomes

Your work will directly support internal teams in innovating, building, and operating at scale, and will include participating in an on-call rotation schedule.

Who are we looking for

Who you are

  • Comfortable working independently, with a bias for action.
  • Thrives in ambiguous spaces where there isn't a clear solution.
  • Enjoys digging into new problems and unfamiliar codebases.
  • Excels at written and verbal communication.

  • Familiarity with HTTP, developing REST and web APIs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

What we can’t do without:

  • We're looking for a skilled developer with at least 2–4 years of hands-on experience delivering real work in production environments, especially with Python. You know your way around version control.
  • You have practical experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker for containerization, ideally within AWS ECS.
  • You've worked with core AWS services — think ELB, Route53, Lambda, IAM, S3, RDS.
  • Have a strong understanding of cloud-native networking basics like VPCs, subnets, and security groups, load balancing.
  • You have hands-on experience writing and applying Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • You have a basic understanding of SSO, user authentication, and access control concepts, with some exposure to protocols like OAuth 2.0.

  • Familiarity with observability tooling — logs, metrics, traces — and a mindset that "it's not done until it's monitored."
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer track) is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
  • Demonstrable AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, and security services.
  • Publicly available code, writing, or projects that showcase your experience.
  • Experience from developing secure and/or PCI-DSS certified solutions is considered an advantage.
