What you'll do
- Build GitOps automation for a new managed service product running on AWS
- Connect ArgoCD with Git to automate application deployments and configure app sync strategies and resource hooks
- Tune ArgoCD for scale, monitor its behavior, and troubleshoot sync, network, and Kubernetes configuration problems
- Work with development and operations teams to match deployments to application requirements
What you bring
- At least six years of cloud and Kubernetes experience, with a focus on ArgoCD
- Strong AWS knowledge and a working grasp of GitOps principles
- Experience using Bash, Python or Go to automate tasks or extend ArgoCD

Our team is looking for a DevOps engineer with at least 6 years cloud and Kubernetes experience including specialization in ArgoCD. Our project involves building automations for a greenfield managed service product in AWS and we are looking for candidates who are interested in building GitOps solutions.

Required:
- Understanding of GitOps principles
- Strong familiarity with AWS.
- Automation of application deployment by integrating ArgoCD with Git.
- Creating and managing ArgoCD applications including synchronization strategies, and resource hooks
- Optimizing ArgoCD for performance and scalability
- Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure alignment with application requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot synchronization issues, network connectivity, Kubernetes resource configurations in context of ArgoCD
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Experience with languages like Bash, Python, or Go for automating tasks and extending Argo CD functionalities.
- Monitoring and logging tooling for observing ArgoCD and deployed applications.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience building SaaS solutions and automation solutions.
- Deploying/managing ArgoCD in support of production systems including HA/DR approaches.
- Experience/exposure with Akuity.
- Terraform for managing underlying infrastructure.
