devopsroles summary, based on the employer's posting.
What you'll do
- Plan GPU data center deployments, covering rack layout, power, cooling, cabling and server installation
- Bring large GPU clusters online with fast compute networks, storage and separate management systems
- Coordinate capacity, power and cooling plans with colocation partners and site operators
- Build the software for provisioning, firmware and driver updates, monitoring and cluster scheduling
- Protect infrastructure, meet customer security controls and troubleshoot operational issues
What you bring
- You have personally built and commissioned GPU or HPC data center clusters
- You understand power, UPS, air and liquid cooling, rack density and data center site trade-offs
- You bring networking experience with high-speed links and secure network design
- You can work with Linux and automate repeatable tasks
- You speak English fluently
Who this fits
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can turn broad infrastructure goals into concrete work and deliver independently. You should be willing to travel occasionally. Finnish is an advantage, and experience with elevated-security environments or clearance eligibility is a plus.
From the employer
About Qutwo
QuTwo is a Finnish AI company building sovereign AI solutions for Europe. Our platform, QuTwo OS, orchestrates workloads across classical systems, AI accelerators, and emerging quantum hardware — giving enterprises high-performance AI on infrastructure they control.
We are looking for Senior Infrastructure Architect who is a hands-on builder to design, deploy, and run the GPU infrastructure behind our AI platform - someone who has actually racked the servers, cabled the fabric, brought the cluster online, and locked it down
What you will do
Plan and execute GPU data center build-outs end to end: rack and power design, high-density cooling, cabling, and physical deployment of GPU servers and networking.
Design and stand up high-performance compute fabrics (InfiniBand / RoCE), storage, and out-of-band management for large GPU clusters.
Own capacity, power, and cooling planning together with colocation partners and site operators.
Build the software layer that makes the metal usable: provisioning, firmware and driver lifecycle, monitoring, and cluster scheduling.
Bake security in from day one: physical access controls, network segmentation, hardened baselines, key and secrets management, tamper-evident logging.
Ensure our infrastructure meets the security and compliance requirements our customers demand — including EU data residency and sovereignty expectations, ISO 27001-aligned controls, and customer security audits.
Provide operational support and troubleshooting.
What we are looking for
Proven, hands-on experience setting up GPU or HPC data center environments — you have physically built and commissioned clusters, not just operated them.
Strong grasp of data center fundamentals: power distribution, UPS, cooling (air and liquid), rack density, and site selection trade-offs.
Solid networking skills, including high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand andEthernet) and secure network design.
Real understanding of security requirements for critical infrastructure: physical security, access management, supply-chain integrity, and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or Finland’s Katakri criteria.
Comfort with Linux and automation — you automate what you would otherwise repeat.
A doer’s temperament: you take ambiguous goals, break them into concrete steps, and deliver without waiting to be told twice.
Fluent English; Finnish is a plus. Willingness to travel occasionally.
Nice to have
Experience with NVIDIA DGX/HGX-class systems, liquid-cooled deployments, or multi-megawatt sites.
Background in environments with elevated security requirements (finance, government, defense, or critical infrastructure) or eligibility for security clearance.
Experience negotiating with colocation providers, utilities, or hardware vendors.
