What you'll do

What you bring
- A bachelor's degree in computing, IT or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience operating large cloud environments and strong capability with infrastructure-as-code tools
- Working knowledge of containers, delivery pipelines, scripting, networking, security and operating systems
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools, plus strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

[What you will be working on]
As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer (AISO) at GovTech, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the robust and scalable infrastructure that underpins critical government digital services, with a focus on ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization and application responsiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient software deployments.
- Implement and manage security best practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical platform infrastructure.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities and efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure operations and processes.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, security principles, and operating systems (Linux preferred).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Please note that this will be a 2-year fixed term contract.
