What you'll do
- Build and maintain a pipeline that sends Windows images from AWS to remote Linux devices through ZFS snapshot replication
- Automate checks on the delivery process to improve availability and make results more consistent
- Help use NewRelic Synthetic Pro to spot failures across the hybrid cloud setup
- Package critical software for Windows-to-Unix environments supporting hosted and cloud infrastructure releases
- Administer Ubuntu servers, including firewall setup, ZFS, performance analysis, monitoring and repeatable bare-metal deployments
What you bring
- A computer science bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification is required
- You have experience scripting Linux hardware servers and working with unreliable network connections
- You bring Chef development, certificate management and Packer or Boxcutter experience for automated image deployment and versioning
- You have continuous delivery and integration experience, including automated infrastructure testing and NewRelic Synthetics Pro

Job Title: Software Engineer
Duration: 6 month (Could go beyond)
Primary Objective:
• Develop & support Delivery pipeline of windows images (CM via Chef, image mgmt via packer/boxcutter or alternative) from AWS to remote devices running Linux (CM via chef) via ZFS snapshot replication.
• Experience managing & scripting Linux hardware servers.
• Experience with unreliable network environments.
• Develop automated testing for process to improve availability & reduce variance.
• Contribute to Synthetic Monitoring effort using NewRelic Synthetic Pro to detect failures on hybrid cloud solution.
• Engineering skills to accelerate critical software encapsulation WIN to UX for hosted and cloud infra with new product releases.
• Linux Administration (Ubuntu) to include advanced firewall configuration, ZFS, performance analysis, repeatable on-metal deployment, monitoring.
• Certificate management, Chef Development, Packer/Boxcutter experience to automate image deployment & versioning.
• Brilliant Manufacturing skills to include CD/CI experience automated infra testing and NewRelic Synthetics Pro
• MUST have a BS in Computer science or equivalent
