This role involves analyzing business needs and translating them into cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Cloud Architects collaborate with various stakeholders, including development teams, system administrators, and executives to ensure effective cloud integration and deployment strategies.
They are also responsible for creating cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends is essential for continuously enhancing the organization’s cloud capabilities.

Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are preferred.
- Extensive experience in cloud computing architecture and design, with a deep understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- At least 8 years of experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to architect solutions using multiple services effectively.
- Experience with government security compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST) and the ability to implement strategies that ensure compliance in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and design patterns, as well as experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages for automation and infrastructure management.
- Experience in risk assessment and management, as well as cloud security principles and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders and guiding teams through cloud transformation initiatives.
