What you'll do
- Maintain and extend global AWS infrastructure, managing it through Terraform and Terragrunt
- Run core Kubernetes components, including ingress, VPC networking, scaling, secrets and container workloads
- Build monitoring, alerting and logging with Datadog, OpenSearch and Fluentd to support reliable operations
- Advise application teams on deploying microservices safely through GitLab CI
- Join the on-call rotation to help keep services available around the clock
What you bring
- At least seven years focused on platform engineering or SRE work in cloud environments
- Strong AWS architecture skills, with infrastructure managed through Terraform and Terragrunt
- Operational experience running production Docker and Kubernetes clusters at scale
- You can read and write Go at a basic to intermediate level for scripting, debugging or platform tools

- AWS & Infrastructure as Code: Maintain and evolve global AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Kubernetes & Containers: Own core K8s platform components, ingress, networking (VPC), scaling strategies, and secrets management
- Observability & Reliability: Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Datadog, OpenSearch, and Fluentd
- Developer Enablement: Act as an expert consultant to internal application teams, helping them deploy microservices safely via GitLab CI
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call duties to guarantee 24/7 uptime
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years (Staff) of dedicated Platform / SRE experience in cloud environments
- AWS & IaC Mastery: Deep knowledge of AWS cloud architecture managed strictly through Terraform and Terragrunt
- Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on operational experience with production Docker & Kubernetes clusters at scale
- Coding Ability: Ability to read and write Go code (basics to intermediate) for scripting, debugging, or platform tooling
- Location: Based in Hamburg, Germany (or currently residing in Germany with willingness to relocate to Hamburg)
